Stratford Lodge # 332 was formed in 1875 at the time of the Railway Boom. It was the third regular masonic lodge to be formed in the area. The first was called Wellington Lodge, originally under the Grand Lodge of Ireland in 1854, and subsequently one of the first lodges to affiliate with the Grand Lodge of Canada when it was formed in 1855. However, by 1858, it had gone into darkness. The second to be formed was our sister lodge, Tecumseh # 144 in 1861. Over the years both lodges have figured prevalently in the reports of the DDGM to Grand Lodge. In the year 2000, we celebrated our 125th Anniversary when, in conjunction with South Huron District, we held a reception in honour of the Grand Master. Stratford Lodge continues to be a vibrant force in the community and is involved in many worthwhile charitable projects, such as Heartburn Days, Coats for Kids and the Gift of Sight Program. Members of Stratford Lodge also contribute funds to the Masonic Foundation of Ontario, which gives generously to support numerous projects in Ontario.

If you are interested in becoming a Freemason, or are presently an unaffiliated Freemason, please consider contacting us for information regarding membership in our Lodge. Please email the Secretary.

Above is the Cornerstone Certificate presented to Stratford Lodge by our D.D.G.M.,
R. W. Bro. McTavish. In addition to the congratulations of R. W. Bro. Findlater, Cornerstone
Team leader and R. W. Bro. Cameron, Chair of the Lodge Resources Committee, there were also the following remarks from our Grand Master, D. Garry Dowling:

Allow me to add my personal congratulations to those of the Lodge Resources Committee on achieving the designation of Cornerstone Lodge 2012 - 2014. We are delighted that the members of the Lodge have accepted the challenge of all that Cornerstone has to offer. While the designation allows you to make known to all the honour you have earned, it is the hearts of your members that the real tangible benefits of this achievement lies. We trust that your achievement was an experience that brought together the members of your lodge to work, learn and play. I'm sure that, along the way, your Masonic Knowledge was enhanced and that you were able to feel like part of a team on a mission. You have already made a difference in your own Lodge and the example you have set, we trust, will be an inspiration to others to follow along behind.

Congratulations on being a Cornerstone Lodge 2012 - 2014 and I wish you all the best in the future, as you continue to build on this foundation.

D. Garry Dowling, Grand Master
